Disneyland parking guide (Disneyland Park & California Adventure)

Disneyland Resort guest parking funnels into large structures — commonly discussed as Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals — then tram or walk to the Esplanade between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. Names, lanes, and rates change; confirm on Disney’s official parking pages the day you visit.

Lots & flow (high level)

• Standard parking: park, take the tram (or walk), clear security, then enter either park.
• Preferred parking: closer floor/section for a higher daily fee — useful on long days with tired kids, not a magic skip-the-crowd pass.
• Expect security screening after parking; the clock starts before you reach the turnstiles.

Costs (ballpark only)

Resort parking is typically a per-day fee in the tens of dollars, with preferred higher. Cast Member / annual pass / hotel packages may alter what you pay. We intentionally omit a fixed dollar quote so a stale number doesn’t mislead — check Disney’s current rate table.

Arrival tips tied to crowds

• On Peak days, leaving the hotel early matters more than shaving five minutes off preferred parking.
• Same garage serves both parks — hopper plans don’t require moving the car.

Alternatives to driving

• Hotel walk / ART: many Anaheim Resort hotels are walkable or on Anaheim Resort Transportation.
• Rideshare: use Disney’s designated drop-off; confirm the pin in the official app or site.
